What is a Turnkey EHR?
It’s a comprehensive package of services for selection,
implementation and roll-out of an EHR with a single point of
contact to help keep things clear and under control. This is
the fastest and most pain-free way to get an EHR up and running
in your hospital or practice.
- Security - The “Hosting” is secured with redundant servers,
secure data backups and off-site tape backup
- Flexible Volume - Your hospital will have the flexibility
to ramp-up EHR services based on demand from employed or
community physicians (i.e. 450 to 2,000 physicians)
- Choice of services - A range of supplemental services
is provided on an “a la carte” basis such as template customization,
report development, and clinical workflow redesign services
- Enterprise and Light versions - The community
physicians have the option to select either a robust, full-function
application or a “Light” version for smaller practices not
requiring added system capability
- Specialized expertise - Dedicated support and training
resources who are experienced with healthcare IT and medical
practice operations, hands-on training and a tier 1&2
help desk
- Vendor neutral - You have a choice of industry leading
software vendors that are guaranteed CCHIT certified

Definitions
The terms “electronic health record”
(EHR) and “electronic medical record” (EMR) are sometimes
used interchangeably. The JHD Group uses the definitions
of the National Alliance for Health Information Technology
(NAHIT) as follows:
EMR: The electronic record of health-related
information on an individual that is created, gathered,
managed, and consulted by licensed clinicians and staff
from a single organization who are involved in the individual’s
health and care.
EHR: The aggregate electronic record of
health-related information on an individual that is created
and gathered cumulatively across more than one health care
organization and is managed and consulted by licensed clinicians
and staff involved in the individual’s health and care.
